    Lounging Around in Lublin

So now it's time to set off on your relaxing three-day holiday! This first day does have the most travel, so make sure you get plenty of sleep and are ready to do some driving.
The first destination is Lublin, a charming city full of character. There are some nice stops along the way, a chance for you to get a coffee and some brunch at the Hamsa Resto, take a stroll around the Lublin Open Air Museum, before getting lunch and visiting the Old Market Square before driving off to Poznan, stopping for dinner along the way. Enjoy this quaint and lovely city, giving an insight into Polish culture.

As previously mentioned, get prepared before you go, as today is the longest in terms of travel. You will be going to a charming restaurant two hours in, so don't worry if you're feeling hungry during the journey. Get ready for a wonderful trip that will inspire, educate, but most of all revitalize.

This restaurant is the perfect stop over on the way to Lublin. It has great breakfast options, friendly staff and if any of you are vegetarian/vegan then this place has you covered too! It's the customer service that really makes this place stand out, though. When you sit outside on the patio, they will come over and always bring your food over with a smile!

This museum is one of the strangest and most interesting I've experienced on all my travels. As the name suggests, it's a very relaxed experience, being outside in the open where you can walk at a leisurely pace around. The museum is full of interesting artifacts from the last few centuries and give you a great insight into what Polish life was like hundreds of years ago. However, whether or not you're interested in history, just wandering around the museum premises is a lovely experience in and of itself.
Opening Hours: May - September Monday - Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Opening times vary seasonally, so it's better to check them on the official website before planning a trip.

If you want to try Polish cuisine in a relaxed setting, then this is your place! Delicious gourmet meals are served to you in a quaint and idyllic area. The gnocchi and deer steak was excellent when I was there. In addition, the gourmet sturgeon tartar and selection of pizzas are also worth a look. Sit outside in the beer garden or in the beautiful Polish style dining area and enjoy the best this side of the world can offer. (But make sure you leave a little room in your stomach for what's next!)

Walk right outside the restaurant, and you're in the main square of the city. This is a great opportunity to soak in the culture, visit some small and picturesque shops and see the beautiful architecture. But what this square does better than anywhere else is ice cream. Lublin's city square has an excellent variety of ice cream from a number of restaurants and small stalls. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll be in heaven here, so have a look around and choose from some of the delicious treats on display!

Now for the drive back to your next destination, Poznan. Along the way, stop by this tasty restaurant. The food isn't overly fancy or expensive, but it is delicious and comes in huge portions, exactly what you want during a long drive. The pork leg, neck and liver are all very good here, as are the various grilled fish dishes. The waitresses are extremely accommodating and will make you feel welcome, you are guaranteed to feel satisfied when leaving and embarking on the final part of your journey.

During this long drive, you're going to want to take a break and stretch your legs at some point. This quirky tower is just the opportunity to do so. Stop by near the small village of Konin and go take a walk up this watch tower. It's a fun climb and even in the dark you'll be able to see the nearby surroundings and have a quick moment to relax before you complete the rest of your journey.
