Discovering the Remarkable Wines of the Cap Corse

After your breakfast at the amazing Riva Bella, you will head straight to the small town of Borgo.
The town is strategically located along the highway and was the main ground for the great way that the armies of Corsica won over marauding French forces.
You will stop here and enjoy the view, with a huge cemetery and serene village in the background for about 15 minutes before proceeding with your drive to the Domaine Pieretti.

For the next two hours, you are going to drive along the North-Eastern coastal side of Corsica and arrive at the Domaine Pieretti winery. This is your first stop for the day.
For sure, you cannot have a complete Corsica wine exploration tour without visiting the wineries in the wineries of Cap Corse region; the father of all wineries on the island.
They say a wine is only as good as its history, and the Pieretti name, inherited from the owner of this winery from her grandfather, stands tall to uphold and respect that name by producing some of the finest red and white wines on the island.
You will learn a lot about the history of this place from the passionate owner and the guides. At Domaine Pieretti, they mostly produce all their wines organically, upholding very high organic farming standards and practices.

After visiting the Domaine Pieretti winery drive south for about an hour and park in the heart of Bastia at the Parking Gaudin.
You are going to explore Bastia on foot and have lunch here.

Just a few steps away from the Garden, you will walk to the A Casarella restaurant.

After lunch, walk to the parking Gaudin and let's drive to the Orenga de Gaffory winery...

Although the wine-making tradition in the Patrimonio area has a history dating back to the 12th century, the Orenga de Gaffory was only founded in 1967.
Their culture and rich deep passion for producing wine have however made them stand out as they produce among the best in this region.
The 30-minute drive from Bastia will bring you here.
You will learn that the Orenga de Gaffory has a strict commitment to producing wine on their 56-hectare piece of land through pure sustainable organic farming. This is what makes them stand out and their wines pure class.
Among others, it is important to note that Orenga de Gaffory grows the Corsica native grape, the Sciaccarellu used mostly in producing their lush rose wines.
Explore and walk in the vineyards and grab a few bottles of their fine wine on offer for your friends!

After the visit to the Orenga de Gaffory, you are going to make a stop at the Domaine Santa Maria just a few kilometres still in the Patrimonio area.
