Castelmezzano is nestled in the heart of the small Lucanian dolomites. In order to access the village, it is necessary to go through a tunnel completely dug into the rock. Leave your car at the beginning of the village (there is well-marked parking and where to go) and walk to Piazza Caizzo, the village's first vantage point.
