After a short walk you will discover another finest architectural creation called Palais Rohan. It was built between 1732 and 1742 by Robert de Cotte. During its history the palace was a residence of the four cardinals of Rohan, then it became a city hall. Finally, it was an imperial and royal palace.

Let`s visit the Barrage Vauban which contains three bridges built from sandstone as a medieval fortification. The bridges are arching over four river channels of the River Ill consisting of 13 arches. The remains of the four-square towers from the 14th century once linked the bridges together.
