From Spiritual to Commercial

Start the third day of the tour with breakfast at Ô Ptit' Café.
This café is open every day except Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

Walk to Parking Hallencourt to pick up your car and continue the drive.

Visit the Benedictine Abbey of Cluny, the greatest ecclesiastical complex prior to the Vatican's Saint Peter's Basilica. Admire the pillars and arches of the structure, what remains of the South transept, and the gardens.
Raised around the year 910, the Abbaye de Cluny was the birth of Christendom in Europe, presiding over 10,000 monks.
The Abbey is open daily from 9.30 am to 7 pm.

Move on to the Museum of Art and Archaeology, located right across the square from the ruins by the Abbaye de Cluny.
The museum is open daily from 9.30 am to 7 pm.

Climb up 121 steps to the top of the Tour des Fromages to take in the spectacular view over Cluny. On your way up, admire photos showing how the town's patrimony was protected over the years by a local association.
The tower is open daily from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm.

Back on the ground, head to Le Bistrot to enjoy an authentic French lunch.
Le Bistrot is open Wednesday-Sunday from 9 am to 1 am.

Park your car as soon as you reach Nolay.

Go for a walk on Rue de la République to the Hôtel de Ville, glancing at the Medieval shops and carpenters' workshops with their stone basements and facades with wood paneling.
Continue on Rue Saint Quentin with its colombage houses, then turn to Saint Martin Church.

Pass by the Church of St. Martin and take some beautiful photos of the edifice and its surroundings.

Move on to Les Halles de Nolay and sit down for a coffee or a refreshment at Le Bistrot des Halles. As you enjoy your drink, admire the wooden pillars supporting the stone ceiling of the covered market.
Le Bistrot des Halles is open every day except Tuesday from 8 am to 9 pm.

Finish your stop in Nolay by walking to La Chapelle de Saint-Pierre, one of the three remaining structures from the original 15 once present in this market-town.

Return to the parking, get in the car, and drive to Beaune.

After parking your car, you're ready to walk on the streets of Beaune.

It's already evening time, so enjoy dinner at Restaurant Au Coq Bleu.
This restaurant is closed on Wednesday and Thursday. On Monday and Tuesday, it's open from 12 to 2 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. On Friday and Saturday, it's open from 12 to 2 pm and from 7 to 10 pm. On Sunday, it's open only from 12 to 3 pm.
