Then later, drive to historical castles that transport you back to the past. The first one you stop to stare at is Castello Normanno, which was built in 1072. It was at one point, the queen's chambers, then eventually turned into a jail and now it has been restored to its glory. After that, it's time to venture to cratères Silvestri and marvel at the amazing craters. Start driving to see a hidden gem, the Gole di Tiberio gorge. Wrap the trip up with a much needed beach visit. on a long beach called Spiaggia di Gorgolungo. Lastly, come back to Palermo and venture in the nature near the city.
