A Cultural Weekend Getaway to Luneburg and Schwerin

This trip is for a solo traveler, a couple or a small group of friends who want to get away from the city and have a trip that may be full of events, but is relaxing and nourishing for the soul as well. Experience the cultural beauty of these two idyllic towns, Luneburg and Schwerin. First of all, you will drive to Luneburg stopping for a coffee at Soetebiers Dorfbäckerei, before arriving in the glorious central square of Luneburg, Am Sande. Then you'll go to Mälzer Brau- und Tafelhaus for lunch, before seeing the town from above in the beautiful Luneburg water tower observation deck. Afterwards, learn about Luneburg's greatest export and cultural identity at it's German Salt Museum, before wrapping up the evening at the Altes Brauhaus for dinner.
The following day, it's time to go to Schwerin. On the way, you will stop by the Englischer Landschaftspark Dammereez to take in the wonderful nature before arriving in the town. In Schwerin, you'll have lunch at the Restaurant LUCAS, before seeing the Schwerin Castle and it's huge grounds. After that it's the Staatliches Museum, where you can see amazing classical and contemporary art, before you go to the Markt to see the local culture and do some shopping. Finally on the way back to Hamburg, you will stop by the Taverne Inos for some delicious Greek cuisine. This trip will show you a beautiful side to Germany you may have never seen before and leave you refreshed, invigorated and with lots of great memories.
