Antalya is a very popular sun and sea destination among Europeans, but it has much more to offer.

Göynük Canyon is considered one of the best trekking routes in the world, and it is part of the infamous Lycian Way. There are natural pools and ponds, where you can take a dip and cool off. It's a very peaceful trekking experience to walk under the pine trees watching the Göynük River flow through the canyon. If you are up for it, there are also zip line and body rafting activities, but for this long day, we recommend doing the easy trek in nature.
You'll pass from hanging bridges over the river and eventually arrive at the natural pool. There are plenty of benches on the way and 3 cafés if you need anything. You can buy the ticket at the entrance, parking is free.

After a 40-minute scenic drive through the mountains, you'll arrive to Phaselis Ancient City Ruins. It is right by the seaside, and you can swim in the Mediterranean while gazing at the ruins, which have been standing there for thousands of years.
Phaselis was a Greek and Roman city, established in the 7th century BC by Rhodians. It was an important city with its 3 ports on the coast of Ancient Lycia.
Today, you can visit the amphitheater, Hadrian Waterway Gate, Roman baths and the wide main street of the ancient city. You can buy the ticket at the entrance and parking is free.
Spend some time on one of the three magnificent beaches right beside the ancient city. Keep in mind that the beaches don't have sunbeds and umbrellas.

Now it's time to head to the mountains! Taking the Olympos Cable Car to Tahtali Mountain is a must-do in Antalya. The modern panoramic cable cars ascend to 2365 meters and the top station has a breathtaking view. It can be chilly, no matter which season it is. Have a warm coffee while watching the Toros Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
You can park for free at the base station and buy a ticket for the cable car. The cable car takes 10 minutes to go out and the rides start at 10:00 every morning.

You should be really hungry by now, so it's lunchtime! Ulupınar is a small town on the way, and most restaurants here have tables on wooden platforms over the cool waters of rivers and waterfalls.
It's a really refreshing experience to smell the pine trees and feel the breeze of the flowing rivers. The traditional Turkish dish to have here is the fresh trout. You can also catch your own trout directly from the river.

Çıralı Beach is one of the best beaches of Antalya. Although it can be crowded, it has a really beautiful atmosphere with painting like trees, crystal clear waters and soft pebbles.
Spend some time here swimming in the cool sea or alternatively, you can choose to sit at one of the many cafés by the beach.

Leave your car here for climbing Mount Chimaera to witness the ever burning fire of the Gods. Best time to visit is before dusk because you can see the great views during the easy 1 km hike.

Mount Chimaera is a mystical place, where you can see flames on the surface of the mountain burning by themselves. It looks like a magic mountain full of candles. They say that the flames have never been put out for the past 2500 years.
According to the legend, a monster called Chimera was buried underground here. However, in reality, there is gas coming out of the ground here and the best activity in Mount Chimaera is to bring marshmallows!
Visiting Mount Chimera is a unique experience that includes ancient ruins, mythology, sunset and mesmerizing views.

After a day full of adventures, you'll head back to Antalya, stopping at a popular dinner spot in Kemer Marina. Here, locals and tourists gather in the evening to have dinner while dipping their toes in the sand, enjoying the sunset colors in the sky.
Dakapo Beach Club is a great place to sample some Turkish food and listen to live music by the sea. You can also take a short walk by the marina after dinner before going back home.
