Head out early to enjoy the most of your trip out to Toronto and beat the traffic. You will meet the border crossing immediately as you leave out of Detroit via the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.

Pop off onto Lake St Clair, which lays across Michigan and Canada's borderline. You can stop off at Lighthouse Cove, which sits at the mouth of the Thame River. Here, you can see a 200-year-old lighthouse, which is one of the oldest on the great lakes, and the blue waters.
Stop out to admire the lighthouse and lakefront before hopping back on to continue your journey forward.

Stop in London to have a quick stroll around a cathedral dating back to 1880. You can see the beautiful stained-glass windows and French Gothic-style architecture. If you come while the church is in session, you may be able to hear the soothing choir and organ playing. The cathedral sits right beside Victoria Park which you can stroll in as well to stretch your legs.
