There is nothing better than taking a short walk after a nice meal. We will visit the Parc du Près-la-Rose. It´s a paradise where huge insects live, you can get lost in a large labyrinth, see Galileo's fountain and, while the kids are having fun with more curiosities, you can see more than 100 different varieties of plants.
This park, which stands on a peninsula between the Allan River and the Rhône-Rhine canal, offers beautiful views. It also has a Foucault pendulum, one of the few open-air pendulums in the world, and a set of sundials readable by transparency.

This museum amazes children and adults alike. From the outside it may look like a normal toy store, but inside it is huge, it has a central area where you can experiment with different sorts of toys and then, on the different floors, the toys are so well exposed that you will travel to the childhood of other times.

This is one of the most pintoresque corners of the city. Its colorful buildings captivate everyone, regardless of age. Do you have your camera ready?

It is recommended to reach this point by walking along the pedestrian path: Rue de la Poissonnerie. Here, over the bridge, you´ll be able to see with your own eyes one of the most emblematic postcard of Colmar.
All the way from here to the parking lot, where the car was left, it´s ideal to let yourself be carried away by these dreamy streets, if you follow the small water channel that diverges into the Rue des Tanneurs, you´ll be surprised by the charm of this path.

the car is picked up to head for a medieval village with concentric circular streets, a unique fairy-tale atmosphere... one of the jewels of Alsace: Eguisheim.

This is a good parking place to leave the car, the main area of the old village is very close and easy to walk around.

Remember Disney's Beauty and the Beast movie? Well, it is said that they were inspired by this town to draw Belle's village, the main character. It is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
For the little ones to walk enthusiastically through the streets and also for the older ones to know better this medieval village, there is a circuit called LA RONDE DE EGUISHEIM that consists of signs (that the little ones can play to find) located in the main points of interest providing relevant information. On them you will find a QR code to watch videos if you understand French.

It is convenient to check in first in order to go out for dinner having that solved. You can choose to dine at the hotel restaurant if you are very tired or dine at the restaurant recommended and thus see a bit more of the town.
