The Monte Palace Madeira Museum, a three-story structure nestled in a tropical garden, is an excellent venue for displaying sculptures and a mineral collection from around the world.
The museum has two floors dedicated to sculpture and one that contains a unique mineral collection. Over one thousand sculptures are exhibited on the museum's three floors.

The Christ is an impressive statue of 14 meters high with open arms facing the ocean. Located on the edge of the pathwalk, the spot offers an excellent view of Garajau, part of the Bay of Funchal, Caniço and the endless Atlantic Ocean.

When you are finished, head back to the car and let's start another scenic drive heading East. Enjoy the different layers of nature as you are going higher in altitude.
