It was here at Culloden that the Jacobite army of Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated by the British, and the Jacobite uprising ended. Over 1000 Scottish troops were killed and as many wounded during the battle, while the government troops lost only 50 men.
Head to the site of the battle and enjoy a stop at the visitor centre, featuring artifacts and stories from the battle as well as a roof garden, offering panoramic views of the battlefield!
