The Beautiful North Sea and Majestic Bruges

Today, you will start by exploring the coast of Belgium, the North sea, a 65km stretch of white sand. Park your car at this free parking lot and let's head to De Panne.

The must-do activity and best way to explore the North sea is by go-kart. There is a quote that states: "There is no holiday at the North sea without a go-kart tout"!
Rent a go-kart for 4h and you are about to explore the surroundings of De Panne riding the breakwater.

Another must-see at the North sea are the endless dunes near the breakwater. The dunes plateau is a stunning peaceful stop in nature. Take a walk, get lost in the infinite landscape for a bit so you can recharge your batteries. Do not forget to come back to reality and get back to the go-kart.

Garnaalvissers means shrimp fisherman. The shrimp from the North sea are a must-taste in Belgium. They are small grey shrimps that are very tasty and Belgian love to eat them.
This statue is a tribute to the fisherman tradition: At low tide, the fisherman goes fishing on horseback for 2 to 3 hours. He braves the North Sea with his horse towing a heavy shrimp net. In the past, mules were used for their endurance, but nowadays shrimp fishermen prefer another national pride: the Brabant or Ardennes draft horse. With their calm and reliable nature combined with their incredible strength, these animals are perfect for this hard work.

Carcasse is the restaurant of the Dierendonck Butchery, an institution in Belgium! They sell high quality meat. The restaurant is by the breakwater with a nice vibe. The service is impeccable with complete explanations of each meat. Do not hesitate to ask for accommodations of the dishes, they like to say that anything is possible. To start, you will be offered a delightful amuse-bouche. The meats are really delicious and perfectly cooked.

After a gustative break, it is time to head back to Arizona to give the go-cart back. Enjoy the last stroll on the breakwater and the incredible nature. After this, it is time to leave the North sea. Let's head back to the parking lot.

The Gruuthus museum takes you on an experience going through three periods that were crucial in the rich history of this wonderful city. After the discovery of Bruges, it is time to take a break at a picturesque bar: le Trappiste. The bar is located in the stunning basement. The vibe is very quiet with candles and nice decoration. The selection of beers is very impressive! Do not hesitate to ask the bartender for recommendation based on your taste.
