Lake Havasu Boating and Swimming

Get out on the lake like the rest of the locals and visitors and rent a boat. They have plenty of options to choose from to suit your needs, and offer a free tank of gas with each rental. Pack some snacks and drinks, and get out early to beat the craze.

After a long morning on the water, you will likely be famished. Head over to The Chair, a beachy atmosphere with sassy signs and menus and positively delicious grub. Do not miss staples like "Stinky Toes," cheese stuffed and bacon wrapped jalapeños, or the "Trust Me Burger," complete with peanut butter, jelly, bacon, and ice cream!

After lunch it is time to start making your way back home. Start your return journey with an incredible hike. There are many Sara Park trail heads in close proximity to one another. Stop off and check the sign information to find one that suits you best. All trails offer rocky and challenging terrain, but incredible views of the surrounding water and rock. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes, and bring a camera!

Take one more luxurious swim at Cattail Cove State Park before heading home. Grab one of the nice beach ramadas for some shade, and dip your toes in the cool blue water. Cattail Cove features terrific sand, and plenty of trees and views too. This is a perfect relaxation station to wind down your weekend.

Just enough time for one more fantastic meal right on your route home to Phoenix. JA Johnny's Cafe serves diner classics and pizzas that knock your expectations out of the water. This spot is very small and cozy, and there is a reason why folks prefer this to anything in the area (some claim JA Johnny's has the best burger in Arizona). Only open for dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5pm-8:45pm, this spot is worth your time.
