As you head back to Lille, choose an alternate route to enrich the day with fresh experiences. This path winds through scenic fields and past charming farms. Opt to navigate the Veurne on your motorbike, or pause for a leisurely walk to admire the historic Gothic architecture up close.

After passing through Boeschepe, where there is a beautifully restored pivot windmill, you approach the mountains of Flanders: Mont des Cats (altitude 158 m), Mont Noir (150 m), Mont de Cassel (176 m). These hills, formed in clay and risen from the earth over millions of years, have been preserved from erosion by a layer of sandstone.

On the way to Lille, make a stop in the commune. Stroll through the cozy old streets and rejuvenate by having lunch at one of the local restaurants.
