    Open Details
Start the morning at laura Hartwig, a small Boutique and family-run winery that produces premium wine. This vineyard is one of the newer wineries in the area, but the Hartwig family has been in the area since 1928, cultivating crops and cattle as a dairy farm. As they saw demand worldwide for great French wine, they changed their crops to Bordeaux grape varieties. They started selling their grapes to larger wineries but eventually started production on their premium blends.
Today, this family-run business offers tours around their property. It explains the process of how this small boutique produces premium blends, which are much different from that at a commercial scale. You can choose their traditional tour or the horse-drawn carriage, both include samples of their wines and a cheese board. You also have the option of just walking to enjoy the gardens and try their variety at the gift shop any time of the day.

Overall a great experience from start to finish; the staff is knowledgeable and happy to help you pair your lunch perfectly. If it’s not too hot outside, ask for a seat on the patio. Another great seat is near the windows with a picture-perfect view of the vineyards. Make sure you leave room for dessert; you won't be disappointed.
