Start your trip with the Klenze Park which is situated in the heart of Ingolstadt. This place is the epitome of what a park should be. The plethora of walking trails that wild through the immaculately maintained gardens and rolling hills. There is an array of native flora and fauna that call this area home and while you walk around notice that there is an abundance of interesting information scattered around the park.
One of my favorite things about this park is the amount of art that is on display here, from the amazing water features and statues that set the scene with the dancing water backdrop. There is also a huge amount of sculptures, carvings, and physical artworks that display some of the finest local talents.

Visiting the town of Ingolstadt is always a treat! Its iconic New Castle near the old town, built in the 15th century by Bavarian royalty, will transport you back through time.
Inside the castle you will find the Bavarian Army Museum as well as various shops and restaurants. However, exploring the castle grounds is just as much fun! Check out its 17 canons for an impressive example of early modern weaponry as well as gardens, sculptures, and beautifully maintained castle walls.

A walk around the city wouldn't be complete without a visit to the main square. Check out the beautiful town hall and grab some delicious bites from one of the cafés. There are often festivals here – wine and beer festivals, for example. Snap some pics so you can remember your journey, then head back on over to the car park at your leisure.

Leave your car here to go to the abbey on foot. An incredibly beautiful path awaits you. The over hanging cliff faces make for an incredible landscape that curves around a bay that has formed on the river's edge.
During the season (May to October), a shuttle service to the abbey is also available on request by phone.

Delight in the tranquillity of picturesque Weltenburg Abbey, founded over 1,400 years ago by Iro-Scottish Columban missionary monks. You also can enjoy a cold beer from its world-famous brewery (the first monastic brewery in the world!).
The Weltenburg Abbey is a gem when it comes to hidden inland beaches that stray along the river. Take some time to bask under the sun along their hidden beach – situated on the scenic Danube Gorge's river with over hanging cliffs.

Travelling this route would be incomplete without trying beer at the Weltenburg Abbey, the one-stop shop when it comes to traditional Bavarian dining. From the food to the decor, everything has that true Bavarian feel and seems much more authentic than your average run-of-the-mill Bavarian restaurant.
The friendly staff makes the experience a breeze, the friendly atmosphere is exactly what I love about this place. The menu has a huge range of traditional favourites.

Travelling this route would be incomplete without stopping at the locally famous museum dedicated to the Maybach brand of automobiles and its history.
Embark on an adventure to the Museum of Historical Maybach Vehicles, where you can take a journey through time and explore the remarkable story of Wilhelm and Karl Maybach. Marvel in Maybach limousines at the that have been around since 1920, with only 160 survivors still existing now! See motors, gears, axils, and other rare relics from decades past as well as historical documents across generations – captured also in short movies about this iconic family's brand.

The Boutique Café MoCa is my favorite place when it comes to making this trip to Nuremberg. The name says it all, it's a truly boutique experience. Every last thing has been meticulously selected and designed by the owner. From the second you walk in the door it's a delight to behold as the friendly staff makes you feel welcome right away and the decor takes you into another world.
They have a wide array of coffee selections to choose from when it comes to making your favorite cup. Don't forget to grab a slice of homemade cake as you leave, you won't be disappointed.

You've probably never heard of the corner of Egypt in Schwabach. Yeah, right on the roundabout there's a miniature desert with a pyramid and palm trees.
You don't even have to get out of your car to enjoy this marvellous sight, just drive through this wonderful town instead of the boring highway.

Your last stop is a well-deserved one, Holzofenpizza Pietro is a local legend when it comes to traditional Italian cuisine. The name of the place speaks for itself. This is where classic Italian pizza is made in a classic wood-fired oven.
