    Today's first stop is to visit artisanal foundries in Ambatolampy. Then, make your way to the thermal city of Antsirabe and visit the city. Finally, spend the afternoon hiking around the stunning volcanic Lake Tritriva. Please note that like in many other destinations in the world, there are some general rules to observe in relation to safety in Madagascar: do not flash cash or valuable objects. And in terms of driving, it is not advised to drive at night.

    The first stop of the day is Ambositra, a pretty town set in a magnificent natural environment. It is an important handicraft centre and at the door of the Zafimaniry Country, a community of wood carvers. You will visit these places on your way back. For now, you will stop here for a coffee break. The main highlight of the day is the discovery of one of Madagascar's most beautiful natural park, the Park of Ranomafana. Ranomafana means "hot water" in English. So, after your hike, head to the thermal swimming pool to unwind from the driving and the day.

    Here you are in the Zafimaniry Country where you will encounter a community of wood carvers. Their art has been classified a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2008. You will be able to spend time to observe the wood workers in their villages, view samples of their craft and their incredible technique. To visit a Zafimaniry village is an unforgettable experience. The villages still lead a traditional way of life, living in houses built with an atypical architecture of carved wood and thatches. To get there, expect to cross breathtaking mountainous landscapes.
