Begin the day with with a calm drive to nature. The places surrounding Lake Monroe are filled to the brim with hiking trails, places to fish, you can canoe in the lake, or you can just wander out in the nature that touches the pristine lake. After a relaxing time at the recreation center, it's time to head to the next destination, the Exotic Feline Rescue Center. Here, there's over 100 cats that have been taken in due to neglect or abuse. They can't be let back out to the wild from their trauma or injuries. This helpful nonprofit organization was created to help these wild cats have a forever home.

The first steps into the area filled me with awe and wonder. Many of the wild cats could tell a story just by how they looked. There's even a blind snow tiger there. This center was created in 1991 with just three wild cats and now it has turned into over 100. The cats are from 10 different breeds as well.
