Day 1 of the itinerary will be dedicated to explore the South of Belgium, Wallonia. Delve into the rich natural and industrial heritage of the region.
Today, you will discover a magical part of the Sonian forest, the lung of Brussels. After that, you will to Charleroi which used to play a big role in the mines industry in the 20th Century. After that, you will keep heading South to discover the biggest dam of Belgium located at the magnificent Eau d'Heure lakes.
The route will end close to the French border in Chimay where you will unwind after a busy day.

The estate used to be privately owned by Ernest-John, son of Armand Solvay. In 1963, concerned by the protection of the heritage, he gave it away to the state of Belgium.
