    Enchanting Castles & Botanical Garden

Start the journey off with a visit to a 15th century castle that will make you feel like you're in a fantasy world. You can learn the history of this ancient building or wonder around and take in the beautiful surroundings. Next up, drive to the most welcoming 16th century castle in Uppsala. Enjoy being fully immersed in the history of this impeccable castle while venturing through inside.
Once you have had you fill of castles, it's time to wander through the Botanical Garden of Uppsala. This is known as the most popular place to visit with its 8,000 species of plants. It was donated to the University in 1787, and that's when it turned into the botanical garden.

This has been known as one of the great Baroque castles of Europe and Carl Gustaf Wrangel built it between 1654 and 1676. Once we arrived at this castle, it felt like we had just jumped into a fair tale. I imagined a knight in shiny armor galavanting on his stead on the bright green lawn, while up in one of the towers, a wizard brewed some magical potions for the next ruler.
Back to reality, when you visit this lovely place, you can go in for free. But if you want to do a tour, that's when you have to pay. Even when this castle is closed is worth a visit just for the architecture. Venture around the outskirts and take in the fairy tale like place in all its splendor.
