Aquatic Adrenaline and a Beautiful City

Second day of pure adrenaline in one of the most fun and huge water parks in the Czech Republic. No matter what time of the year you decide to take this trip with your family, you'll be able to enjoy super fun and thrilling water games in a gigantic, air-conditioned space.
Then, if you manage to convince your kids to get out of the water... You'll visit a jewel in the south of the Czech Republic, a beautiful city to walk around and enjoy every corner. Crowning the town is a castle whichhouses the largest piece of craftsmanship of its kind in Central Europe. Can you imagine what it is? Afterwards, you will visit several charming spots in the city. And to finish the day, a gift for the parents: taste some wine of the region in a picturesque wine cellar in the heart of the city. What a great day!
Please remember to read in advance every POI so you can make reservations if necessary.

Welcome to this super fun park with water games to enjoy all year round. I suggest 6 hours, my children didn't want to leave after 7 hours here.... It's up to each family to decide how long they can stand it... hahah!
Guaranteed fun for the whole family and that teenagers love for the adrenaline generated by these water games. The best thing? you can go all year round. Here you can see all the attractions they offer.
And here you have the opening times.
We had lunch at the Imperium restaurant inside the building. The service and food were excellent.

Mikulov is a small town which at a certain time, due to its strategic location on the Amber Road, was a town of great splendour. The castle is undoubtedly the main protagonist of the landscape. We went there with the purpose of seeing the biggest wooden barrel in Central Europe.
We did not visit other parts of the castle as my children only wanted to see the big barrel and nothing else. But depending on your interests you can see different guided tours ranging from the tradition of vineyards in the area to the history of the castle from medieval times, all lasting about 30 minutes.
Here you can see the different tours they offer, with times and prices.
The tour we did (Cellar with giant barrel) was very good. The big barrel is huge, impossible to imagine from the pictures we had seen. There was the option of doing a wine tasting, but we preferred not to do it.

It was a bit of a climb... I must admit! But once at the top we forgot about the effort, the views are beautiful and we rented some binoculars for my youngest son which kept him entertained for a while as we took pictures.
We also bought a couple of bottles of local wine there as a gift for some friends who loved it.

This is the most striking house in the whole square. I made a joke to my daughter telling her that this was the renaissance beginning of modern graffiti... hahaha!
It really is a jewel and deserves to spend some time admiring the paintings that adorn it. Quite a work of art.

    A moment for parents!
If you like wine or want to taste the famous wine of the region I recommend you to make a short stop at this winery which has excellent wines and a very lively atmosphere. Children can drink juices or musts.
We negotiated that the children would choose the dinner in exchange for this time for the parents... there were no complaints!
They don't take reservations, but if you want to know more about the place, here is some useful information to check opening times which can vary throughout the year.
    Enjoy!!

We were lucky with our children's choice. They chose this place for dinner... they ordered burgers (what a surprise!) and my husband and I tried other dishes with grilled meats and very good sauces. We had a great dinner!
Here is their link so you can check opening times or if you want to call to make a reservation. (https://www.bistrodrogerka.cz/). We didn't make a reservation, of course, and we had no problem finding a free table.
