The Norway Building played a huge role in marketing Norway and its stave churches to the rest of the world. It was first presented during the World Exhibition in Chicago in 1893. You can visit this architectural landmark on your own or join a guided tour.

This roadside restaurant serves simple but hearty food perfect for explorers looking to fuel before a big day ahead. Their white pizza comes highly recommended.

Parking is available off the E6 and is marked accordingly. The zig zag shape of the gorge was created after the last Ice Age. This short pitstop lets you feel the rush of the river Driva as you gaze into the gorge.

Stretching over the river Jora, the jora bridge in Dombås is a stone railway bridge with impressive arches curving across the river. If you're lucky, a train will whizz by just in time for a photo.

Though only 5 km long, Trollstigen or "The Troll's Ladder" is one of the most famous roads in the world. Only open in the summer months, it welcomes over 150,000 cars every year. There are eleven hairpin bends that wind down the Vall valley. When at the top of the pass, you can park your car and walk for 10 minutes to a viewing platform to see the road in its entirely as well as the Stigfossen waterfall. Trollstigen closes in the winter. Though you won't be spending the night, you'll still be able to enjoy a delicious dinner at Valldal Fjordhotell's restaurant whilst taking in the enviable views of the Norddalsfjord while you dine. Seasonal dishes are what's on the menu and you'll be able to choose from options such as traditional fish soup, summer salad, or local cheese board.

You'll take a quick ferry ride from the north shore of the Norddalsfjorden and ferries leave every 30 minutes and the crossing time is just over 10 minutes. Check the full time schedule here.

After about ten minutes you'll land on Stranda, a village on the south side of the Storfjorden. From here you'll get views of Geirangerfjorden as you drive past on your way to Stryn.
