Discover the Wonderland of Wai-O-Tapu and Walk Through the Magical Sequoia Forest

After your morning coffee, start your day with the mighty Huka Falls. Just before the falls, the Waikato River flows into a shallow ravine made of hard volcanic rock, which creates the effect of a narrow fire hose nozzle. Walk from the parking lot near Huka Falls along the path with observation decks to the bridge over the top of the waterfall, immerse yourself in the roar of its sound, and feel all its power.

Big parking which is not far from the welcome center. There is also a smaller car park right next to the welcome center with limited space. Leave your car here and go for a ticket to the welcome center.

You can book your tickets online here or buy them at the visitor center. It's also recommended to visit the toilet here because there are no toilets in the park. Here is a cafe, where you can get coffee with sweets, and a good souvenir shop, which you can visit before or after your walk. The thermal wonderland of Waiotapu impresses with its incredible colors. Walk along the paths of the parks between unique geothermal lakes and geysers created by thousands of years of geothermal activity.
My advice is to skip the Lady Knox Geyser "show" at 10:15 which draws crowds, and doesn't happen naturally but is activated by a park worker. Just take a walk in the park, and enjoy the awe-inspiring views of the famous Champagne Lake in a floating misty haze and unreal poisonous Devil's Bath.

What could be better than swimming in a natural hot spring waterfall surrounded by a stunning forest? Kerosene Creek is a forested stream with small cascades that create perfect little swimming holes filled with pleasantly warm water. If you go downstream from the parking lot, you will get to the best swimming spots. There is no entry fee.

Sabroso is a place of delicious flavors of Latino-American traditional beverages and foods. For booking it is better to phone the restaurant directly. Open Hours: Sunday - Tuesday: Closed Wednesday - Saturday: 17:00 - 20:30

After natural wild beauty and springs, it's time to relax at the Polynesian Spa. The Spa center, which consists of two parts, is worth visiting the Deluxe Lake, from the pools of which there is a beautiful view of the lake. In total there are five mineral hot pools with different water temperatures, as well as a font with ice water. You can move between the pools and then relax in the heated sunbeds.

Walking along the redwood is beautiful in the daytime as well, but at night, Redwoods Treewalk is lit up with designer lanterns and decorative lights, creating a whole new and unique nighttime experience. Every night at dusk, the night lights turn on and the magic begins.
