Paso Robles: Wine Country on the California Coast
On the way to Paso Robles, California, you'll stop at a few wineries in bucolic settings and visit an artists' interpretation of the landscape in lights. Much of the drive will be through California's Central Valley, where much of the state's food is grown, but it isn't a pretty drive. The historic stop, planned for a little break, will be a nice respite until you arrive in the beauty of wine country.
Paso Robles is a long drive, but it is well worth the effort. The scenery of rolling hills and mighty oaks will blow you away. Enjoy the journey!

Coastal Route From Harmony to Los Angeles
After breakfast in Paso Robles, California, take 46 to the coast, a gorgeous back country road that belongs to another time. Stop in at Harmony, California, a teeny artist enclave with galleries and art to peruse. Grab lunch at a former stagecoach stop for tri-tip sandwiches and stop at Santa Barbara's Stearn's Wharf for another wine tasting in a unique location. End the day at a classic New York-style deli in the Los Angeles Valley.
