Medieval Cellars, Caves, Legends and Endless Landscapes

In two days you will do many things that will fill your spirit, in constant contact with nature, history and traditions of the region. You will delight yourself with its delicacies and you will feel the warmth and friendliness of the villagers. Two days that will stay with you forever.
You will visit the beautiful village of Ezcaray, walk through its narrow streets, see the old looms that are still used to make blankets. A gothic altarpiece will surprise you and you'll also be able to touch an object that gave birth to a legend in this village. You will visit the ancient village of Zaldierna, lost in time, and you will see a medieval wine cellar with caves that have been storing the best wines for over 500 years, which you will be able to taste!!. You will also ride on horseback through ancient vineyards, surrounded by pure nature, that's my favourite part!
A very peculiar museum will surprise you in El Rasillo de Cameros. You will be surrounded with beautiful landscapes at all times, you'll hike to the González Lacasa reservoir, then descend to the Ortigosa caves where you will freeze not only because of the formations you will see there but also because the temperature drops there too. You'll taste local delicacies such as local cheeses and sausages at a picnic next to the Iregua River, discover the dark secrets that lie beneath the Mansilla reservoir and feel transported back in time among the little houses of the old town of Covarrubias.
