- Sail in a totora reed canoe.
- Make your own Apacheta to worship the gods.
- Walk three times around the wish-granting temple.
This trip is for adventurers who are not afraid to go deep into the Inca world, its culture, its landscapes, its descendants and experience first hand the legacy left by this enigmatic ancient civilisation.
Many adventures await you, you will sail across the highest lake on the planet, more than 4000 metres above sea level. You will visit floating islands of millenary origin, and the island of the Amantani aborigines whose customs are still intact.
You will immerse yourself in hot springs in the middle of the mountains, see lost waterfalls, magical forests of volcanic formations, unique sunsets, castles of Inca legends, see the majestic chulpas, cross mountain deserts, lakes and blue rivers. You will see llamas, vicuñas and alpacas, grazing freely. You will see stars and skies with a light of their own. You will eat typical dishes, drink pisco sour (more than one, I assure you), meet simple and good people willing to help you with whatever you need. It will be a trip that will mark you forever. No doubt about it.
Keep in mind that you will need both bathing clothes and warm clothes, since at high altitude, even in summer, very cold winds can blow. Bring sunscreen, as the sun is stronger at high altitudes. You should also consider that there are stretches of road where you will not find neither towns nor stores for several kilometers, so it is always advisable to take food and drink with you just in case.
The months I recommend are to avoid the winter season in Peru (June – August).
Now that you have everything ready, let's go on an adventure!
